2000 miles after four years of road/trail riding
By markermatinger (I am an Owner) on Dec 22, 2020Well, I have mixed emotions about this machine. The Dealer in Grand Rapids, MI does not do a good job, so I am learning how to be a mechanic and doing all my own work. Very little information online about general maintenance. The ONE big thing about CF Moto is you need to check everything over ... when you buy it. Everything is loose from the boat ride to USA. tire steams rotten, batter connection loose hydraulic brake replaced, shifter snapped off, CVT loose hard shift, all motor mounts broke because they became loose, class three hitch is useless unless you weld on some supports (sticker said max 35 lbs or something). Most of this should have been caught by my dealer if they looked every 6 months I dropped it off. After realizing nothing has lock tight during install and not very industrial, I managed to get things put back together. Last 1500 miles great. Currently doing top to bottom maintenance now and its going well. I would buy another because the features for the price are worth it. Just check it over like crazy when you get it and ride it for the first 12 months!!!

Great Company and Solid ATV
By ErikB (I am an Owner) on Nov 21, 2018I bought my 2017 500 HO EPS in February of 2017. After a year and a half, I have only had one issue. one of the clamps on the boot holding the rear drive shaft into its splined coupling came loose causing the rear drive to fail. This happened 6 months after my warranty had expired and CF Moto still ... covered the repair. They actually replaced the whole rear drive shaft!
I'm very impressed with CF Moto's commitment to their customers and that they stand behind their products. The machine has plenty of power, is very comfortable, and you just cant beat the price, features, and warranty. Dont be afraid to get into a Cf Moto. They are here to stay.

not good
By greg (I am an Owner) on Nov 27, 2017nothing but problems since my wife bought it for me. got new in june got more miles on it riding on the back of my truck. first doesn't like to shift out off gear been back to the dealer several times for that last time they told me i had to rock it and it would shift, that hasn't worked very well ... so far last time i took to the dealer went to start no power to the dash. dealer ended up replacing the key switch. that same new switch isn't working any better. probably have less then 50 mi on it haven't used it in months won't take it on a ride i don't feel comfortable walking back from don't trust this piece off crap

Great value
By Eric Evans (I am an Owner) on Oct 29, 2017I'm a 48 year old ex dirt biker and current ADV bike owner. I wanted to go off road again without beating the crap out of my Africa Twin. I found the CF Moto 500 ho EPS and bought one. 100 miles so far of very rugged 2 up riding in northern PA. Super comfy ride and this thing literally goes anywhere. ... The only issues so far have been a failed rubber trunk strap $3.00 and the idle was too high from the factory which caused it to be very hard to drive at low speeds. After reading several forums about this issue, I lowered the idle speed from 1750 to 1500. Made all the difference in the world! I did my own break in service and the engine oil and diff oils were like brand new when I drained them and only a slight bit of break in shavings on the rear diff magnet which can be expected. I've owned about 50 dirt and street motorcycles in my life and do all my own work. This thing is put together very well and if you research the company, you will find out they make components for the "other" brands that cost much more. I paid $600 for an additional 3 years of warranty which is a very good deal considering the power steering unit is more than that. To sum it up... well built, great performing and very good looking machine with a ton of features that would cost $11k if you bought another brand. I'm actually looking at a CForce 400 for my son so we can each ride. I'm going to have 2 brand new atv's for the price of one loaded Polaris. Way to go CFMoto!!

Stubber!
By Lars (I am an Owner) on May 29, 2017With over 7500 miles om it, yeah you heard me, 7500 miles! And not a single problem. All parts replace is service related. Like drive belt, oil change, cv joint bushings and so on. Still runs strong! I was pretty skeptical to this brand in the beginning but i will take my skeptisism back. I do not ... regret buying from cfmoto and i would recommend it strongly!

Works for me !
By Bill R (I am an Owner) on Feb 01, 2017I was a Kawasaki and Honda Dealer for many years and now retired decided to get an ATV to use around my property. The CF is very solid and well finished. Detailing is professionally done with nice welds and frame paint. Engine feels that it puts out more than the rating states and we have ... no complaints whatsoever. Transmission take-off is a little abrupt for my taste, but one adapts quickly. You will not even notice your passenger, but then mine is small anyway. Surprisingly well done for the price.
