2004 Polaris Predator 500

I own a 2004 Predator and I love it. I was mad and sad when it went down for the year but shes back up and kicking. BEAST! I ride a 660 and have a banshee in garage but this was my first buy and my first love for riding! Handles great, dirt, gravel, snow this thing is ready to go.

I was riding my predator 500 earlier today and it was real muddy and I got it stuck in some mud and I tried to gun it to get it out at first and it wouldn't move so I had to put it in neutral and push it out after that I didn't feel anything wrong fr but I kept ridin a lil went down a couple trails ... wasn't doin anything crazy I popped a couple wheelies and then started to ride back home and on the way back I noticed dat only my left wheel where the chain is was movin cause it was drifting me to the right and it seems like theirs no power in the right wheel at all what do you think is wrong with it?

I bought mine a fuel weeks ago. Only rode it once..alot of power.... The guy who owned it before me never fixed anything..so I redid the front end and shocks.... It's almost ready by my standards.....so as soon as I get my new tires I'll hit the trails hard.... Then I will rewrite my review...so ... far I give it high marks....... We will see

I bought a predator 500 around 3 years ago and have been in love with it. So much power and never breaks down like most race quads. Great on the track although it is a heavy machine. Trails are rough around me and the suspension absorbs it well. Overall great machine and you can get one cheap. Just ... as fast as yfz 450. :)

I own a 2004 Polaris predator and have found that in my area of the country resale on these is quite affordable especially compared to their reliability.

I picked mine up for a great price and put about $300 into a clutch cable, chain, rear brake assembly, and carrier kit. Still rides and ... drives great. Has amazing power for a 9 year old machine. It definitely feels at home on the track but its main purpose for me is the trail. Personally, I am surprised at what it can get through but feel more comfortable on the track.
