2005 Polaris Ranger 500cc 4x4
By James (I am an Owner) on Sep 01, 2019I have owned this machine for 13 years. It is beyond a doubt the best machine I have ever owned, bar none. I have used it on the farm for everything from hauling fire wood to fencing. We have loaded up beyond capacity and ridden all over the south east mountains. South Carolina, North Carolina, West ... Virginia, Kentucky, Middle TN., North West Tennessee and North GA. Serviced regularly and regular maintenance has kept this machine our favorite family vehicle. I like the naturally asperated engine and the dependability of this machine. The only change I have made to the original driveline is the rear differential brackets. If you ride or live in the mountains, make sure you build a brace tying down the FRONT of the differential TO THE FRAME. The nose of the rear differential will pull/turn up and in doing so it will crack the OEM brackets destroying the parking brake rotor and grinding on the bolts.
That's it. So Go enjoy Your Polaris Ranger and remember it is NOT a RZR. God bless

Owned since new
By Chuck Reece (I am an Owner) on May 02, 2017I researched thoroughly and bought a 2005 Ranger new. I have used it as a play toy and a work vehicle on my acreage through all weather. It is the best thing I have ever owned! We use it in the yard, to haul mulch, limbs, trash cans, plus it tows a trailer, plows snow and is better than a golf cart ... for cruising the timber! Carries three grown men easily and have carried two more in seats I installed temporarily in the bed. I love mine after 540 hours and 13 years!

Great buggie
By Dulci (I am an Owner) on Dec 13, 2015I have driven my Ranger 2 miles every day since I bought it in 2005. I use it for yard work, running my dogs, and getting around. We have changed the oil and now need new tires, but this vehicle is service friendly.

Nana's Red Toy
By Debbie Artrip (I am an Owner) on Jun 04, 2013My Ranger has done everything I expected it to do, and more. It's a great work-horse hauling wood, dirt and grandkids.
The only maintenance on this machine has been new tires.
