I am very impressed with my Ranger
By Teresa Duncan (I am an Owner) on Jun 01, 2020I bought my Ranger in July 2013, just before Independence Day, so the grandkids and great grandkids would have something to ride and also I wanted one. We had looked at a few and decided on this one or I should say I decided on this one. We haven't really had any problems to speak of besides regular ... maintenance on it. That has been 7 years ago. I would say this baby has been a great investment. We purchased another UTV and thought that would be better and couldn't wait to sell it off. I would recommend this Kind of baby to anyone who is In the market.

3 Years on and still going strong
By John CZ (I am an Owner) on Jun 17, 20173 years on and I can still say Polaris made a little giant killer with the Ranger 400HO. Great hunting rig and large enough dump box to carry Pelican case with camping gear and jerry cans etc..
Sure some UTVs have more gadgets but that little 400cc (455cc actual) motor just keeps giving ... and sometimes out powering other UTVs way above its size. Downsides are the stock tyres are way to soft for Australia and the bench seat could have been better but price reflects this.

Too Noisy for Hunting / Ranch Community
By Robert Broadwell (I am an Owner) on Oct 25, 2013This UTV is so noisy that you cannot talk to your passenger without yelling. Forget about stealthy hunting. People in my ranch community wince and complain when I drive by. The poor front fender design allows rocks thrown by the front tires to richochet off the steel sub frame. My wife will not ride ... in it for fear of getting popped in the face by rocks. Wear a helmet and face/eye protection if you operate this unit on dirt roads. This is the smaller ranger they call their mid size Ranger 400. It will tip over easier than larger models so be exta careful. When going down hill, the belt drive will squeal constantly unless you keep your foot on the gas. Because of the ear splitting racket this things makes it is usless and unenjoyable for me, so I will be selling it as soon as I find something quiet.
