noise in primary clutch ....
By David (I am an Owner)Read MorePolaris sportsman 800 EPI AWD primary clutch problem ...ok it started hesitating taking gear, like when u give gas it would **** real hard...ok then yesterday was riding an it just got normal operating temperature an it like started losing speed, like slipping an making clacking or knocking noise ... then it stalled engine...an I cranked back an still was making clacking or knocking sound...so I cut off an towed back 2 trailer, then took off belt an clutch cover to pin point nosie, an it's cumin from front primary clutch when idling it barely clacks an when u give a lil gas u can see the clutch go in to start pulling an gets louder ....so wat could the problem be? ...it seems 2 be a bearing or something in clutch trying 2 seize up maybe ...after I got home it was cooled off an I started 2 unload an it sounded fine, no clacking or nothing...so that tels me its not in the engine ...any help with this or problems like this before?
