Love them
By Ted Friend (I am an Owner) on Oct 22, 2019We bought two of these new in 2013. Have run long trails in Texas, Utah, New Mexico and Colorado, and they are great. The rear tires are bald now, and they still climb the roughest trails in Colorado - getting new tires this winter because we will be using them in mud in Texas. We did change out ... some of the grease nipples to make them easier to reach several years ago. We also had some issues with warning lights and the EPS not always starting in cold conditions, but it was just that the batteries were too old. Once we put new Polaris batteries in them, they work great. The descent assist (ADC) is great! No need to ride the brakes when descending from 13,000 ft in the Rockies, and it is hard for novices to lock up the brakes and go into an uncontrolled skid.

,Very nice Ride!
By Lisa (I am an Owner) on Jul 27, 2014I bought my Sportsman 550 EPS in July of 2013
It is the most amazing comfortable riding ATV 4X4 I have ever owned.
I like the controlled down hill deceleration braking.
It is the best for riding long all day trails.
I bought front & rear bumpers. Front & rear racks.
I ... bought a large size North face base camp duffle bag and it holds all of my goods on the rear rack comfortably.
I noticed if I don't ride it for a month or so the battery gets a little low and my power steering & digital read out is out. After riding for 20-30 minutes my battery had fully charged there for EPS & digital readout had returned.
Overall my favorite Polaris out of the 7 I have owned.

Happy, Happy, Happy
By T L Heritier (I am an Owner) on Jan 03, 2014I bought this new in June. So far I have put 1200 miles on it. Not one problem. I had it out in deep snow last week, I was extremely impressed with it's ability to run. I am 100% happy with it.

Is Junk!!
By Redeye (I am an Owner) on Sep 06, 2013I have just made my third payment and it has been in the shop more than on the trails. Power steering works 50% of the time and when its not working, neither is the display. Engine brake works when it wants to and the seat gets so hot you cant sit on it. Front end shakes even when sitting still and ... steering is loose.
Paid almost $9000.00 and Polaris has done nothing to fix the situation. When some one gets hurt they will have a law suit on their hands. My husband bought a Can - Am at the same time and hasnt had one problem.

Fun times
By Daryl Smith (I am an Owner) on Mar 27, 2013Best thing I've had in the mountains. Lots of power, with little to no slipping on the rocks. I'm not tiered at all after a long day of riding thanks to the power steering. I wish I had more of them!!!!!

varible speed drive
By M. Thompson (I am a Writer) on Jan 20, 2013overall rating good, donot like the fact that when you let off the throttle it feels like an engine brake and doesnt coast.. not sure if this is normal but when switched into 4x4 for incline , i dont notice a difference.. wondering if the machine is performing correctly. feel like the unit is breaking, ... and front end drops down while slowing... only 10 hours on unit
