Fat Truck is an industrial off-road amphibious vehicle, capable of tackling the toughest terrain. Operated using a single joystick, the Fat Truck is easy to operate and perfect for people who have accessibility concerns. The Fat Truck can climb or descend 70 percent inclines both forward and in reverse. It can also scale the sides of hills with 40 percent inclines. The truck measures about 101 inches tall, 146.5 inches long, and 100 inches wide. The vehicle can transport up to 8 people and travel at a maximum speed of 25 miles per hour. Or you can fit it without seats to haul a generator or welder in the back. Fat Truck has a payload of about 2,200 lbs. Designed to be watertight, whether, in two feet of water or 200 feet of water, the amphibious Fat Truck floats, due to the water displacement of the chassis and the wheels, even while carrying its full payload.
The Fat Truck is powered by a Caterpillar 2.2L Tier 4 Final four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine. Hydrostatic transmission allows independent control of the left and right wheels. For braking, the Fat Trucfk utilises the hydrostatic drive for positive deceleration. Equipped with an 18.5-gallon fuel tank, Fat Truck uses on average 1.5 gallons per hour of operations. This fuel economy allows you to work 2 shifts before you need to gas up again.
The Fat Truck is manufactured in Bromont, Quebec. Sixty percent of the parts come from the U.S., and the rest are from within 300 miles of the factory. Only the wheels come from outside of North America. Model advertised is a 2022 black 2.8C but other configurations are available.
