Best atv on the planet!
By 1421452372 () on Oct 23, 2010This is my 2nd 2up machine.. Last one was an artic cat.. This machine performs as good as it looks.. The power is smooth and seemingly endless, the passenger comfort hands down has no rivals and like I said, this machine looks amazing.. I almost enjoy polishing it as much as I do riding it!.. If ... you get the chance, don't think, just buy it..

A very impressive machine
By John (I am an Owner) on May 04, 2010I have owned a 500 X2 since 2006. While I liked the utility of the X2, it lacked a bit of creature comfort for the passenger. The 2010 850 touring model is an unbelievably huge step up. First of all the unit has been totally redesigned from the ground up. Brand new tubular frame and new engine ... that screams torque and speed. The configuration of the engine allows a much better/narrower/easier seating. Lower center of gravity and the suspension is much more forgiving w/o being spongy. The same lumpy trails I ride are now much smoother and easier to negotiate. The Electronic Power Steering (EPS) is amazing. So smooth and responsive at low speeds it makes riding effortless over rocks and tight spots. You concentrate on where you are going, not on holding on. And the power--whoa, baby, does this thing go big !! If you haven't driven a 850 you are in for a thrill. It moves--scary fast--and so smoothly. I was going to get the 550--a really great engine in its own right. If budget is tight DO NOT TEST DRIVE the 850. Its smooth power will seduce you. I actually think at modest RPMs it is quieter than the 550. All the ergonomics have been improved from service to storage to adjustable shocks to bigger wheels. This is truly the BMW of ATVs. My only complaint after 4 days of riding--It is too nice to abuse !!! At 61 I expect this will be my last ATV. It is by far the best--by a good margin.
