So far so good
By Jon Walko (I am an Owner) on Nov 20, 2015I was at the dealer, ready to pull the trigger on a 2015 Polaris 570 when the sales person approached and redirected me to a 2014 550 EPS with bumpers and Warn Winch already installed. I am not usually one for flash but the alloy wheels and metallic red paint on this machine really does look good. ... I ended up taking it home that night along with a snow plow. I haven't had a chance to plow the driveway with it yet but so far I have been impressed with the ability it has on the trail and it pulls lawn carts and a field mower with no hesitation. There are a few design issues that I would have preferred to be different. First the exhaust apparently got so hot that it melted a hole in the plastics of the fender and melted the bottom of the seat. Apparently this is a know issue as I have seen on the forums, so I will be returning it to the dealer for a warranty claim. I would have also preferred that the rear rack be a little more easy to remove to clean but that isn't a huge concern because I intend to ride not have photo shoots and they always look better when they are dirty anyway. The only other slightly annoying issue is that the plastics seem to keep flexing to the point where the tabs pop out of where they are supposed to be. These issues are very minor to me and I am very happy with the power, handling, and durability so far. The EPS system on this is far more attentive then the Honda Rancher I ride. Keep up the good work Polaris.
