Can-Am Race Report: GNCC Round 10, TORN Round 6

Can-Am ATV and side-by-side racers won a total of seven classes at both the AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) and Texas Off-Road Nationals racing series over the weekend. Can-Am 4×4 racers won three of four classes and earned eight GNCC podiums at the Can-Am Unadilla in New York. TORN racers Hunter and Cody Miller each notched wins aboard their Can-Am vehicles in Texas.

Can-Am Racers Sweep 4×4 Class at Big Buck GNCC

Can-Am ATV and side-by-side racers posted wins and podium finishes in the 2014 AMSOIL AMA Grand National Cross Country series in South Carolina, the World Off-Road Championship Series in Utah, the Texas Off-Road Nationals in Crafton, Texas, and In the New England ATV Motocross Opener in Wallkill, N.Y. The wins included podium sweeps in the NEATV-MX Pro and Pro-Am classes and another 1-2-3 finish in the GNCC 4×4 Pro class.

“It was a rewarding weekend, earning big wins and numerous podiums in GNCC, NEATV-MX, TORN and WORCS,” says Jeff Leclerc, Racing Project Leader, Can-Am. “This successful weekend verifies Can-Am offers a diverse, competitive line of off-road vehicles and has a team of resolute racers piloting them.”

Scrambler XP Race Teams Make Successful Debut

The 2014 ATV Racing series has officially started and Polaris’ new ATV factory racing teams were out in full force.

The Texas Off-Road Nationals (TORN) Round 1 was held in Boyd, Tex. the first weekend in March. UXC Rider Chris Robinson piloted his Scrambler XP 1000 to a first-place finish. The course was a 5.5-mile loop consisting of whooped out sand sections, a few tight wooded areas, some dry creek beds and a few rocky hill climb sections.

Hunter Miller Races Can-Am Maverick to TORN Series Victory

Can-Am ATV and Side-by-Side racers found success in four different series across the United States this past weekend, highlighted by Hunter Miller’s victory at round four of the Texan Off-Road Nationals (TORN) in his Maverick 1000R.

At the 2013 AMA Mtn. Dew ATV Motocross National Championship series in Illinois, Can-Am Pro Josh Creamer earned third overall on his Can-Am DS 450. Iowa ATV Hare Scramble Series racer Zac Zakowski drove his Can-Am Maverick 1000R to second overall in the UTV Open class. Travis Moore earned second in both the Pro and Pro-Am ranks at round four of the New England ATV Motocross series in Pennsylvania.

“Our Can-Am racers had a great showing at several different racing series, highlighted by Hunter Miller winning the TORN series UTV Pro class overall with the Maverick 1000R and with Can-Am DS 450 Pro Josh Creamer earning third overall in the Pro class at the Mtn. Can-Am Race Report: GNCC Rd 2, TORN Rd 2

Bryan Buckhannon won his third straight 4×4 Open race to start the season.

Once again Can-Am 4×4 ATV racers dominated the morning race at the Steele Creek GNCC, not only winning all five classes, but sweeping every possible podium position. As well, JB Racing / Can-Am DS 450 Pro Jarrod McClure earned fifth in the XC1 ATV Pro class. At round two of the Texas Off-Road Nationals (TORN) in Paradise, Texas, Louis Powersports / Can-Am racer Cody Miller won the Pro ATV class and his teammate and Maverick 1000R X rs pilot Hunter Miller took second in the UTV Expert class.

“Our Can-Am ATV racers had a great Saturday at the Steele Creek GNCC in North Carolina, winning all five 4×4 classes and, once again, sweeping the morning 4×4 podium,” says Jimmie O’Dell, race manager, Can-Am. “Michael Swift notched his first U2 class win aboard the Renegade 800R X xc while defending 4×4 Open class champion Bryan Buckhannon remained undefeated in 2013.”

Can-Am Race Report: Apr. 21-22

Can-Am ATV and UTV racers continue to find success this season and this past weekend was no exception. Team Motoworks / Can-Am DS 450 racers John Natalie and Joel Hetrick finished second and third in the Pro class at round two of the 2012 AMA ATV Motocross Championship Series held at Muddy Creek in Blountville, Tenn., while Can-Am X-Team ATV and side-by-side racers also had a successful weekend, winning several classes at races held in Texas and Iowa.

“We were excited to have both John and Joel reach the AMA Motocross Pro class podium at Muddy Creek,” says Jimmie O’Dell, race manager, Can-Am. “Although we didn’t get the overall victory, both of our racers rode well, despite the slick conditions, put themselves in contention and ultimately earned a trip to the podium. John has led motos at both rounds and is currently second in the Pro class points race, while Joel has been the fastest qualifier twice, so they definitely have the speed and skills to win every race they enter.”

Can-Am ATV and UTV Racers Earn WORCS and TORN Series Wins

Can-Am ATV and UTV racers are coming off a very successful weekend, with victories in the World Off-Road Championshp Series (WORCS) and the Texas Off-Road Nationals (TORN) series.

Motoworks / Can-Am DS 450 Pro racer Josh Frederick won Round 2 of the 2012 WORCS held in the desert at Buffalo Bill’s Casino and Resort in Primm, Nev, while Can-Am X-Team racer Hunter Mills won the Pro 450 ATV class and also won the UTV Unlimited class in the TORN series at Beaumont Ranch in Grandview, Texas.

“Our Can-Am racers had successful weekends in both Nevada and Texas. Josh Frederick has gotten off to a great start this year on his DS 450, moving into a tie for the ATV Pro class points lead. He put in a great effort on the ATV and in the Commander 1000 X side-by-side vehicle in WORCS,” says Jimmie O’Dell, race manager, Can-Am. “Hunter Miller had a great debut in the Commander 1000 X in its TORN series debut, and also started the 2012 season off on the right foot with a Pro class victory aboard the DS 450.”
