I went to DMS to compare helmets. After a lot of online searching I ended up in the accessories showroom with a good idea of what I wanted. The sales associate Harley offered some incite into different helmet types and helped me explore the positives and negatives of each. I was able to find the ... right helmet for me and the prices were comparable if not the same as on the internet. plus I did not have to wait for it to be shipped! What I liked most about my experience with Diamond was that everyone in the store was friendly, knowledgeable and I felt no pressure to make a purchase. I would recommend DMS to friends and family as a great place to not only shop but also have service done.

This is the second cruiser that I purchased from this dealer. Both experiences were outstanding. The salesman was very knowledgeable and did not try to pressure me into buying anything. He offered several test rides to make sure that I was comfortable with the bike. The financial transaction ... could not have been smoother. The paperwork was ready when I arrived and I was driving out with my new bike in less than one hour. Special shout out to Charlie and Alvin.

Very knowledgeable about all the products. We were assisted right away, and all of our questions were answered. Would definitely come back again, and will be recommending this dealer to friends and family!

Diamond Motorsport is by far the best! My wife and I were those typical customers...We would stride in, look around and say "well.. maybe next time." However, Every time we stepped into the huge showroom at Diamond we were always met with smiles from the Sales team and the Sales Manager. The knowledge ... that the team possessed was astonishing! they worked together to answer my MANY questions and I always left there extremely happy.
One day I finally decided... "This WAS IT! were going to buy a motorcycle!" As usual, we were greeted by the familiar smiles and friendly talk. I told them that we were ready to purchase and the rest is history!
A few months have passed and they are always willing to help with all of our questions and concerns. These great people at Diamond are not salesmen... they become more than that... they become Family!
Special shout out to Dave, Alvin, Jill, Harley, Bruce Bruce, and the rest of the team!

Diamond Motorsports was the best experience I have had purchasing a motorcycle and equipment. The sales manager straight to the point and informative about the bike I was looking to purchase and other similar models. The sales specialist that sold me the motorcycle was extremely helpful and personable. ... Diamond motorsports made my purchase very simple considering my complications of being military and an out of state purchase. I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone for sales or service due to the very knowledgeable staff throughout the establishment.

Today I completed a transaction of a used Bike from DMS. Fantastic buying experience. I own several bikes. I have been in bike shops all across the nation from every manufacturer. The one consistent element to a shop that has great service and great sales experiences on the buyers end; Are in the ... shops where the staff is having fun or at least appears to be enjoying their day at work. Good music in the shop helps too. In this case the music was great.
So, I walk in the first time. I am greeted after I make a couple laps. No pressure. Love that. I am here in the shop because I am ready to purchase, no initial tour guide needed. I am a man about my business and I don't feel like I have to be catered to, coddled or own some sort of weird, self entitlement issue that is going to negatively affect my motorcycle buying experience all on my own. The shop isn't the size of Harrods so I am intelligent and self confident enough that I'd rather have the staff eat a snack, have a sip of water, share a joke and relax before we negotiate.
I braced for what someone else complained about, "unusually high prices" but that was not the case at all. As a matter of fact, if that is the perception by some and it keeps the tire kickers out as well as needy, nose dripping, please kiss-my-ass while I window shop types out, who really can't afford what they are looking at while I am trying to purchase, then that is a bonus too. People who complain about high prices can't afford what they want or have no negotiating skills and that is not the dealerships problem. A.B.C. ALWAYS BE CLOSING, It works on both sides of the desk. They are there to make money. I am there to spend money. If I can't get what I want for the price I think I should pay, so freaking what. Oh here's an idea, get a second job or work some overtime. Who write a long dissertation about prices and ho to go about purchasing out of state. So happy I don't ell motorcycles. At the end of the day, motorcycles are a luxury item. Emphasis on luxury. Don't act so common. You're in a bike shop not at a florist.
Anyways, Salesman Dave K, knowledgeable all around good kid. Great sense of humor, great people skills, engaging and entertaining. Followed up with me and was genuinely a kind guy. Wasn't pushy at all. Mother nature put our test ride off for 3 weeks. That's right, 3 weeks. Probably because I new this particular bike would sell the first nice day I wasn't there so, I put down a 500.00 refundable deposit to hold it from my Debit card. No way was I going to loose the bike through my own fault and I want to buy the bike and I'd like the kid to make some money. He deserved to. Nice Job Dave K. I have been in the service industry for over 30 years. Was fun.
Jill, in the paper work/Finance office. Smart lady, really knows her stuff. Great sense of humor and personable. Worked hard to find financing on a different bike I didn't purchase. She hung in there and got me an answer quickly. Good work. Tough job to have and maintain a sense of humor when you have to sit within inches of some turd with a lousy credit score that is going to push their Non-credit worthy rating off as your fault. Been there done that. It never shocks me to hear that someone will go through an entire sales negotiation, land in the finance office and then miraculously discover that their credit sucks and they have wasted everyone's time. I love when they then blame the finance person for the double digit interest rate for their own bad credit. Who raises these people???? Obama???? I bet if Jill had all the time back that unqualified pricks came in there to buy a bike and failed for their own bad credit, she would have enough time and income accrued to take a month long vacation in the South of France.
So, in the end, I got a smoking deal on a great used bike. The Sales Manager even offered to deliver it to me for no additional charge. I live 45 minutes away. Good guy right there.
This was my first buying experience here at DMS . Won't be the last. I made this purchase on a total whim too. Great informative website. Kudos to all of you for a job well done.
Best, L

I'll kick in my two cents' worth. I've lived all over this country and owned several motorcycles; for the past 15 years I've called Dover, DE home. When it was time to once again consider some motorcycle purchases for my family I cast my net wide, visiting dealerships all over the greater Philadelphia ... area. After all that searching I realized that the hometown dealer just a few miles from me was not only competitive in all aspects of the motorcycle trade, but was head and shoulders above most of them in customer service.
I have made two motorcycle purchases from Diamond Motorsports in the past two years, one new and one used. I have also dealt regularly with their parts and accessories departments, purchasing gear to outfit two new riders and beginning the long process of restoring an older bike. If you're willing to spend a little time getting to know this outfit you'll be sure to come back again. We're already considering an upgrade for the new riders, and Diamond will be our first stop!

The people here are friendly and helpful but the prices of the bikes are marked up and overpriced. There being only a handful of motorcycle dealers in delaware and by that I mean all 2 that sell the big manufacturers bikes the ball is usually in their court when it comes to pricing. The ... lack of competition keeps them from having to worry about cutting prices for those desperate enough to buy from them.
If you're there for a new bike good luck, this is mostly a used bike place as that's what they sell most are "used bikes" if you can't tell by the cramped show room. Their new bike prices are not worth your time unless you have a trade in or want to negotiate them knocking $100 bucks off their markup and watch them pretend like their trying to make you a deal.
You come off better just shopping for a deal out of state and registering your bike in DE. About $500-$2,000 cheaper than dealing with the hassle of trying to talk these guys in to cutting you a deal off their markup that's still marked up even with the phony "this is all my manager can do" nonsense.
If you want to see what I mean call them up and ask them about any "New" bike and make them an offer and see how they teeter totter around some marked up price and then call any out of state dealer for the same bike and quote them and watch them try to work with you to get you a decent price on a bike.
So overall all I wasn't satisfied with the time I wasted trying to purchase a bike from them but I can't say I felt that anyone was rude or unfriendly, just not very good at closing a deal with a customer. So at the end of the day you just end up with an interesting conversation, wasted time, a pocket still full of cash, and no bike, because they'd rather hold on to $200-$300 than sell a bike and establish repertoire and repeat business from a new customer.
They have a better used bike inventory that their only other competition "PowerSportsEast" and their $600 markup on bikes and pretend half off our markup price sales. They have a larger selection of New Bikes and some used bikes bit Diamond MotorSports has a bigger selection of Used bikes and as you guessed it yes they are all marked up and overpriced NOT to sell. They have used bikes at NEW bike prices. Want an 08' Gixxer with 20K miles for $8,500 Out the door? Pfft.. just save yourself another $1000 bucks and you can get a 2013 GXR600 out of state.
I don't expect any dealer not to make a profit but the prices on these bikes are ridiculous, these guys don't even try to make a bike reasonably priced so they just sit in their inventory collecting dusts when someone could be out riding them. I'm sure they get lots of inquiries but very few buyers when they're quoted prices. If you want to put in the haggle work I'm sure they might cut you a deal but is it worth your time when a real dealer would cut the bs and give you a decent price out the gate?
So how would I rate them?
Friendly Staff
Interesting Community Events
Cramped Show room full trade-ins
Terrible Sales Skills
Horrible Prices
Overall good to stop by for a chat or an event, maybe to buy some bike accessories, but that's about it. as a Dealer their just as bad as the rest of the markup sharks looking to snag a sucker. How can anyone recommend or call a dealer that takes advantage of markups good by any chance would be beyond me.

Robert,
I understand you do not like the price of our trike or the trade allowance for yours. We have checked around and feel the pricing on the 2007 Gold Wing with a new California Side Car trike kit is fair. The CSC is a trike kit that is highly rated due to it's independent suspension, ... quality components and attention to detail but it is not one of the less expensive kits available. When appraising your trade it was noted there were numerous items that needed to be fixed before we could sell it, the biggest being no second gear in the engine. That alone would involve a complete disassembly of the engine to find out why it does not engage.
As far as the problem you had returning home, we have never worked on your trike. All my service manager did was appraise it for trade which does not include removing the wheels.
Again I am very sorry you were not happy with your experience. We are in the business of selling motorcycles and try to do everything we can to work out deals that are fair for our customers and the dealership.

I visited this Dealership on 8/3/2013, looking to purchase a 2007 trike that was on display. It was way over priced. They appraised my trike at $20,000.00 and they took off $4,880.00 for needed repairs. As I was driving home I heard noises coming from my rear end near my tire area. I called a friend ... to tow my trike and trailer home. When I went to check the problem I realized that the hub caps on the left wheel had not been tightened very well. They were loose. Also the estimate of repairs was priced too high. I believe the could have tried to give me a better deal all the way around. Not very satisfied.
