    Arranged to have a safety recall done on my '22 Rally, purchased new there in '22, we had also discussed having them replace the drive belt, but it was decided not to go ahead with that since the bike was was 1500 miles short of the maintenance schedule for that item, they basically talked me out ...

    Dropped the bike off, service was scheduled for Monday 7/2, got a text Monday afternoon that the recall was done... and the belt replacement. Called them immediately, spoke to the same lady who set up the service appointment, she confirmed that we had decided not to go with the belt, said she had even told the service department and transferred me to them, spoke with Brian.

    Pretty much they admitted it was their mistake, but long story short, I had already purchased the belt and was going to do the work myself, so now they had my bike, I had a belt that couldn't be returned, same part, and they wanted me to pay for their part and work.

    I told them to think it over and figure out what they were going to do, their best offer was take my belt to cover their belt, and charge me 2 hours labor instead of three.

    For something they were not authorized to do in the first place, it cost me about $450 to get my bike back, what I paid for a belt and their labor.
