recently my father bought a 50 cc moped from the cycle center on south sonders street,in raleigh . After 33 miles the motor quit working i tryed for 6 months to contact the company all i got was the run around for 6 months then they changed there phone number. So i was told to call smith field power ... sports they came and picked up my moped informed me it needed a new carberator ,they put it on and it didint fix the problem. So then i was informed he needed to rebuild my whole motor and he charged me 392 dollars im disabled so for me thats a chunk of change .I digress he then told me to bring it back within 500 miles to get valves adjusted and to change the oil i brought it back around 300 miles 200 miles early . Then i was advised to bring it back at a thousand ,iles to readjust the valves and change the oil .I did it at 700 miles then on the way home the automatic choke when off from where he had informed me that my moped seemed to be idleing high now it wont idle at all since he messed with it and has since started back firing then it broke down lost all power stranding me on the side of the road. I CALL HIM TO INFORM HIM AND HE TELLS ME HE NO LONGER WORKS ON MOPEDS,HE DOESN'T WARRENTY ANY OF HES PARTS OR LABOR ON WORK.I asked him so im screwed and he said in a ways yes like i said we dont work on moped any longer and we do not warrenty our work .I thought this company had more values then to fuck over a disabled man .Im just trying to let the public know if you have anything fixed and it brakes down 5 miles down the road you're screwed you have been ripped off by smithfield powersports it took me 546 dollars a new engine that only took me 1000 miles thanks powersports ....thanks
