While we were out exploring the wilds of the Rocky Mountains this summer, we took a pause to glean some insight from one of Yamaha's very own. Garner some knowledge for yourself straight from Team Blu as our group ripped the 2024 Wolverine RMAX2 LE and XT-R in Taylor Park, Colorado. Pat Biolsi, Testing Manager at Yamaha, offers his two cents (and it's worth quite a lot) on the Wolverine series and inspiration for their latest in the lineup, Wolverine X2 1000.

It's not just one variant of this new SxS that CFMOTO is working on, as UTV Driver reports. Both two and four-seat models will be available, the former with a cargo tray behind the seats and the latter making use of the same area for passenger space. Most important in delineating this model from the rest of the rest of the CFMOTO lineup, it will come with a roof, windshield, doors, and side windows, meaning it will likely come standard (or with very little in the way of options) as a fully enclosed machine, not unlike a traditional road-going passenger car vehicle.

For quite some time, tangible guidebooks have been essential – occasionally life-saving – tools for riding, be it on a dual-sport, ATV (All-Terrain Vehicle), and in a UTV (utility terrain vehicle). They provide valuable information to properly plan an enjoyable, yet safe, experience on the trail, typically including comprehensive maps which are crucial for navigating unfamiliar areas. Importantly, these books often highlight the details of specific ATV trails: difficulty ratings, terrain variations, and points of interest.

Our editor Kyra Sacdalan has spent her career planning and executing adventures, but for the first time, she was treated to an epic expedition courtesy of Destination Yamaha. This program intends to encourage every type of rider to get off the couch and traverse the amazing landscapes of North America by dirt.

In this new(ish) segment we're dubbing "Travels", we explore amazing places to ride off-road, telling you not only about our experiences but what you could experience in these unique locations – the popular haunts and hidden gems alike. These stories are meant to inspire you to grab the wheel (or handlebar) and wander past your comfort zone. From the distinct terrains to the unusual lodgings, the points-of-interest and the laundry list of engine-off activities, in these journeys, the destination and adventure are one in the same.

The age of accessing the internet anywhere at any time continues to blossom with the announcement of Starlink's $599 Mini roaming. While the mobile service has been available to jet-setters and overlanders for some time, this new portable device opens the worldwide web to a much wider (and sometimes more compact) range of travelers. It is small enough to fit in a backpack, tough enough to ride along in a UTV, and it brings high-speed internet to users wherever they go. Sounds like a great addition to the essentials list for side-by-side overlanders or even as a camp accessory to multi-day ATV trips to remote places, doesn't it?
