President & CEO Eric Bondy Leaving Kymco USA

Eric Bondy has resigned his position as president & CEO of Kymco USA to pursue a new opportunity. To assist in the transition to new leadership, Bondy will continue with the company until Dec. 15, 2011.

Ming Hsin Lee, current senior vice president of Kymcop USA, will assume the title of president and CEO effective Dec. 16, 2011. A native of Taiwan, Lee spent the past four years stateside working as a liaison between Kymco USA’s team of experienced U.S. powersports professionals and the overseas factory. He joined Kymco in 1984 and has since amassed experience in production, R&D, sourcing, quality control, IT, accounting and dealer development.

Bondy assumed day-to-day responsibility for all operational aspects of Kymco USA in 2005 following nine years in various sales and marketing roles with Arctic Cat, Inc.

Kymco Teams Up With Ford for Limited Edition ATV

Kymco USA has entered a partnership with Ford Motor Company that will result in a limited edition ATV to complement the F-150 SVT Raptor off-road performance truck.

The Kymco Built Ford Tough F-150 SVT Raptor Limited Edition MXU 500i ATVs will be placed on display at participating Ford Truck dealerships during the promotional period. However, they will be offered for sale exclusively through the Ford Collection website ( www.fordcollection.com) and participating Kymco brand retailers will handle delivery of the ATVs purchased.

The 2011 Kymco MXU 500i is at the heart of this Limited Edition ATV. This unit is powered by a fuel-injected 498cc four-stroke, four-valve liquid-cooled engine producing 36 hp, offers 7.5 inches of suspension travel at all four corners via a front and rear independent dual A-arm suspension connected to five-position adjustable oil damped shocks with dual rate springs, and features a tough 25×8-10 front and 25×10-12 rear tire/wheel combination. What makes this machine a Limited Edition is a package that includes custom Metallic Blue finish with Ford F-150 Raptor Graphics, the Built Ford Tough badging and alloy wheels.
