More than 22 hours of racing over five days
KTM’s Sebastian Husseini won the overall ATV classification at the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge 2009, which ran from March 23-27.
Husseini piloted his KTM 525 XC ATV to the title in a time of 22 hours, 2 minutes and 36 seconds – an impressive 52 minutes ahead of his closest competitor. Husseini finished ninth overall in the endurance race behind eight motorcycles.
Second in the ATV class was Obaid Echtibi (Honda) while KTM’s Lionel Laine, last year’s winner, was third.
KTM’s female ride Camelia Liparoti, who had already participated at this year’s Dakar with her 525 XC ATV, finished seventh.
