The Honda Talon UTV was recently awarded "Coolest Thing Made in SC" in the third annual South Carolina Manufacturing Madness contest. Out of 166 nominated products made in South Carolina, it was the Honda side-by-side that took the win, as awarded by the South Carolina Manufacturers Alliance.

Thanks in part to its success in the UTV racing scene and also on the front of sales, the Talon has deservedly won the title of "Coolest Thing Made in SC." Though the award for such does sound a bit high-school, it's always a good day when a UTV takes home the crown. This goes further than that, and is a testament to the efforts put forth by those in the South Carolina facility who engineer, manufacture, and love the Honda Talon side-by-side. We're big fans of the model, and are glad to see it get even more recognition. This local win adds another trophy to the Talon's resumé, which is flush with victories in events like the Baja 1000, Mint 400, and CHAMP short-course racing.

"Everyone at American Honda is thrilled for this recognition, particularly given the caliber of the competition," said Travis Lee, Site Lead at Honda South Carolina Mfg. "Thank you to those who voted for Honda. In voting for Talon, you're really voting for our most important asset—our associates. Without them, an award like this would not be possible, so thank you to the team in Timmonsville for all you do."

"We're very proud to build the Honda Talon in Timmonsville," Lee continued. "We look forward to many more years of manufacturing popular—and cool—powersports products in South Carolina."
