When it comes to combining grin-inducing performance for the trails and the utility necessary to help you get the job done at home, the Can-Am Outlander X XC 1000R is tough to beat.
Can-Am designed this ATV to be a true Sport/Utility crossover vehicle. When you are ripping up the local trails, it really shines as a sport machine. It’s awesomely powerful and will keep you smiling all day. But when duty calls, this Outlander is ready and willing work until the job is done.
We decided to showcase the Can-Am Outlander X XC 1000R with a video highlighting five reasons you should consider buying one.
This Outlander is equipped with a Rotax 1000R V-Twin engine that churns out an arm-stretching 91 horsepower. Three driving modes allow you to effortlessly control the massive power to suit your needs.
Tri-Mode Dynamic Power Steering
Can-Am’s Tri-Mode DPS allows you to decide how much assistance you get. You can turn the DPS to minimum when you are racing down the trail, Medium when you are out for a fun ride or Maximum when you’ve got to navigate through the rocks or thick mud.
The Can-Am Outlander X XC 1000R takes ATV suspension to the next level. The Arched Double A-arm front suspension offers up 9.2 inches of travel and an integrated sway bar for unmatched handling. Out back, the Torsional Trailing Arm independent rear suspension controls 9.9 inches of travel and is designed to eliminate scrub and camber changes to keep you moving in a straight line.
FOX Podium 1.5 RC2 Shocks
Can-Am takes suspension a step further with the addition of FOX Podium 1.5 RC2 shocks on all four corners. These are high performance shocks and offer up full adjustability so riders can tune the suspension to both the terrain and their riding style.
Wheels & Tires
The only thing connecting your ATV to the ground are the tires and Can-Am dressed the Outlander X XC 1000R with the outstanding 26-inch ITP Terra Cross tires for versatile traction for a variety of conditions. These tires are wrapped around 14-inch cast aluminum beadlock wheels, which offer up reduced unsprung weight and improved overall strength.
