The family of comedian Stephen Colbert has donated an ATV to be used to track nesting loggerhead sea turtles near Charleston, SC.

The Colbert family donated the ATV to Learning Through Loggerheads, a summer program that provides scholarships to students in loggerhead protection. The program was without a means to transport students to various loggerhead nesting sites.

According to WMBF News, the small non-profit organization sent out an email blast asking for donations. The Colbert family was on the list and put the organization in contact with an area businessman who found the program a used ATV.
