Yamaha's Full MY25 Powersports Lineup in Neat Little Photo Gallery
Yamaha's MY25 SxS and ATV lineup unveiling in Park City, Utah, turned out to be more than just a parade of new colors. We packed our bags expecting the usual, but Yamaha threw us a curveball with some serious upgrades. Enter the new RMAX4, now with a longer wheelbase and a major comfort boost – perfect for when you want to bring the whole squad. They didn’t stop there either with a little somethin’ for the growing (literally) ATV crowd: the Grizzly 110. This fresh-faced model borrowed the engine from the Raptor 110 which debuted in 2023, making it green sticker emissions compliant. (You’re welcome, California.)

onX Off-Road & Tread Lightly! Clean Up 8,400 Pounds of Trash on Trails
Some of those good people are working hand-in-hand with onX Off-Road and Tread Lightly! on their "Project 1,000" nonprofit, which recently cleaned up over 8,400 pounds of garbage from Michigan's trails. The organization's undertaking was an impressive one, with the effort in late June going beyond trash cleanup. Over 375 hours of combined labor hours invested, the initiative was also able to install 1,120 feet of protective fencing and 7 trail signs. In total, over 75 miles of trail were improved thanks to 56 volunteers.
TL;DR | Honda Made the Rules So Jackson Racing Could Break Them...
We get it. You don't always have time to read the whole story. So, we make a special TL;DR "story in photos" just for you! Matthew McNulty had the chance to hop in the driver's seat of Honda Powersports "factory" upgraded Talon 1000 equipped with a turbocharger courtesy of Jackson Racing (JR). While it takes a few tweaks to fit this new system into their trusty platform perfectly, the tuning from JR is so precise that the HRC team has been rocking it for years. And now consumers, like Mr. McNulty, have the chance to rip like a racecar driver (well, almost). He had a few good things to say in his comparison, but we'll spare you the deep insights and thoughtful opinions for a few anecdotes and pretty photos by Justin W. Coffey.
Kawasaki's MY25 CARB Certification Hints at a New Four-Seat RIDGE
The Kawasaki Ridge is a unique UTV, a rare combination of work-meets-play that just so happens to be powered by a beefy four-cylinder engine. As is the trend in the side-by-side world, it was only a matter of time before Kawasaki supplemented its two-seat Ridge with a four-seater, and that time appears to be coming for the 2025 model year. At least according to some public data recently released about Kawi's new certified lineup. And our team "decoded" the information to reach this exciting conclusion... (Let's review the evidence.)
CARB Filings Reveal 2025 Can-Am Maverick R Max Models, New 999cc ATVs
The sport and performance UTV segment has been extremely hot over the last few years and recent news shows it isn't cooling off just yet. Instead, manufacturers are pouring more resources into the category, as is evident by Polaris' updated-for-2025 RZR Pro models and news that has come via the California Air Resources Board (CARB) that show Can-Am is expanding its Maverick R lineup even further for 2025. The documents also show that the big-bore ATV lineup has been revised, too.
Bigger Is Better with Yamaha's All-New Full(er)-Size RMAX4 for 2025
We weren't sure what Yamaha had to show us when they sent the invite to attend their Model Year 2025 (MY25) introduction for their SXS and ATV lineup. A plane ticket to Park City, Utah showed up, so we packed our bags to get a sneak peek at what the brand had in store.
A Bit of Boost Makes the Talon Just Right…
Behind the wheel of a Honda Talon 1000R-4 Live Valve, I was desperately clawing for traction in the futile hopes of climbing the mountain of sand in front of me. It was already a somewhat demoralizing task. At the top of this hill was an (almost) identical Talon and our photographers enjoying the view and conducting a shoot I and my vehicle were meant to take part in. Sliding precariously downward from three-quarters of the way up the rise, my face contorted into longing, pitiful glances at the peak as attempt after attempt to ascend only rewarded me with a further bruised ego.

New 2025 Polaris RZR Pro Lineup Photo Gallery
Polaris has launched a revamped version of its RZR Pro lineup for 2025, for the first time delineating the model into Pro XP, Pro S, and Pro R trims. Aside from a less confusing naming scheme, Polaris paid special attention to creature comforts, style, and available accessories. While there's no mechanical changes this year, the machines are still worth a closer look. We helped make the announcement the other day, but for those who didn't have a chance to read the full article, check out this smattering of photos.

Story in Photos: I Sent My Sister to Rally School...
Believe it or not, off-road riding is not for everyone. (I don't get it either...) But at ATV.com, we like to think of powersports as the gateway to grime – in the best of ways. One such person is my very own big sister, Gigi. An avid outdoorsy mushroom hunter, rock collector, and road cyclist who, as it turns out, hates becoming muddy or dusty. So, I thought it would be fun to put her in a UTV and try to evangelize her into the Church of Dirt.
So, not too long ago, she joined me at DirtFish Rally School in the Pacific Northwest to learn some performance driving skills from their expert [WRC] rally instructors, then apply them to side-by-sides. While it was me who attended the three-day All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) class (in a Subaru, no less), Gigi was given a private, albeit abridged, lesson from the lead coaches before taking hold of the wheel. And that's all she needed to start ripping through the backlot of the facility.
No, she didn't go straight to the dealership and put down a deposit on a fresh SxS afterwards. But she did report having a great time in her subsequent story from the experience, and I suspect her view of being in the muck is a bit less muddy...
How to Choose the Right Tire for Your ATV
When choosing the right tire for your ATV (All-Terrain Vehicle), several crucial factors need to be considered to ensure optimal performance, safety, and durability. Just like when buying tires for your hauler or a daily driver, different tires work better in distinct circumstances, and picking the right one for a particular application can make a huge impact on how the vehicle performs. Let’s explore what to pay attention to when looking for tires for your quad (or three-wheeler if you’re old-school).
