Suzuki Motor USA has announced the continuation of its KingQuad 400 sport utility ATVs and QuadSport Z90 youth ATVs for the 2024 model year. Assembled at the Suzuki Manufacturing of America, Inc. in Rome, GA, these ATVs are designed for a variety of users ranging from outdoor enthusiasts to agricultural professionals.

Volcon Inc., the first company specializing in all-electric, off-road powersports vehicles, has announced that shipments for its all-terrain vehicle, known as the Stag, are expected to start in October 2023. This announcement comes after Volcon received its final engineering validation unit from its manufacturing partner, GLV. The company has been in the process of validating these final units, including completing necessary regulatory tests, which it has passed.

Yamaha Motor Corp., USA, recently reported that its Outdoor Access Initiative (OAI) has reached over $6 million in total funding since its start in 2008. The program aims to promote and protect access to lands for motorized and outdoor recreation. Over the last 15 years, the initiative has funded more than 470 projects across the United States.

Camp RZR, hosted by Polaris, is set to return to the Glamis Imperial Sand Dunes on October 27 and 28, 2023, for a grand celebration of the off-road community. The event will be held in one of the most famous dune areas and is expected to offer a range of attractions and activities tailored to off-roading enthusiasts and their families.

The new Can-Am Maverick R is the most powerful and technologically advanced Sport UTV on the market for 2024.

Returning for the 2024 model year are the Honda FourTrax Recon, TRX250X, and TRX90X. While the ATVs are mechanically unchanged, each is offered in a new color for the coming year. Though the machines are long in the tooth, they soldier on as stalwarts of the four-wheeler industry and staples of the entry-level segment.

Polaris Industries Inc., in collaboration with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), has issued a recall for certain Polaris Off-Road Vehicles, Bobcat and Gravely Utility Vehicles, Fuel Pump Kits, and Fuel Tank Assemblies. The recall, announced on August 10, 2023, affects about 12,300 units in the U.S. and approximately 517 in Canada. Some of these products were previously recalled for different hazards in March 2021 and July 2021.

Polaris has issued a recall for its Model Year 2021 RZR XP Turbo and RZR Turbo S Recreational Off-Road Vehicles. This recall, dated August 10, 2023, affects approximately 27,300 units in the United States and an additional 660 in Canada. Some of these vehicles were also part of previous recalls in November 2020 and December 2021.

American Honda Motor Co., Inc., the exclusive distributor of Honda motorcycles, scooters, ATVs, and side-by-sides, announced a partnership with TrueTimber, a prominent camouflage brand. This collaboration is set to include future projects between the two companies.

The Polaris Scrambler XP 1000 S marches on for another year maintaining its place atop the company’s sport-4x4 mountain. Better, its starting MSRP of $17,799 is unchanged from the same sticker price it carried for the last few model years.

The Honda Talon line is a different take on the sport UTV, and that is a good thing. If you’ve read any of my previous stories on Honda machines, you know I am a big fan of the DCT transmission, and I really like the Talon. This notion hasn’t changed since I took my family on an adventure ride in Nevada a few years back in the Talon 1000-4 Live Valve. When Honda announced some changes to the Talon platform, I took notice. When they announced a new, wider Talon 1000R-4 Live Valve machine, I was itching to get behind the wheel. Luckily for me, Honda thought I should, and they let me bring along my 17-year old son to experience the new whip, too. After spending some time behind the wheel of the 2023 Honda Talon 1000R-4 Live Valve, I can say that I am still impressed. This machine is something special.

Gates, a prominent manufacturer in power transmission and fluid power solutions, and a pioneer in belt-driven powersports applications, has unveiled an expansion to its G-Force product line with the addition of the G-Force WorkHorse CVT belt.
