American off-road racer Sara Price has confirmed her participation in the 2024 Dakar Rally, scheduled to take place in Saudi Arabia from January 5 to 19. The 15-day event is part of Price's long-term aspirations, and she has a diverse background in motorsports, including motocross, Trophy Truck, and UTV. She earned her spot in the rally by winning the "Road to Dakar" challenge, which is organized by A.S.O., the group responsible for the Dakar Rally.

Price will be competing in a Can-Am Maverick X3 vehicle equipped with BFGoodrich tires, in the T4 Category. She will be joined by navigator Jeremy Gray, with whom she previously won the Sonora Rally. As part of their preparation for the Dakar Rally, Price and Gray will participate in the Rallye du Maroc, an FIA World Rally-Raid event, scheduled for October 12-18.

The 2024 Dakar Rally marks the 46th edition of the event and the 5th time it will be held in Saudi Arabia. The rally will feature 820 competitors from 68 different countries, covering approximately 6,000 miles. The competition consists of one prologue, 12 stages, and spans 14 days.
