Technology provides utility ATV with dual-range

Adly Moto LLC has introduced a new utility shaft drive ATV with some unique technology.

The Titan 300 4X4 features dual-range CVT along with a secondary dual-range transmission with PTO, which Adly Moto vice-president Terry Nesbitt says is the beginning of a new segment in the ATV industry.

“It is fully automatic in the primary transmission and has a secondary gear drive transmission with a high-low range,” Nesbitt told ATV.com. The benefit of the feature is to allow maximum pulling and towing capacity and at the same time the CTV allows for the unit to achieve what I would call reasonable wheel speed when you disengage the secondary transmission.”

The secondary transmission provides 2.5 times more torque, which maximizes load capacity and reduces CVT wear.

Nesbitt says disconnecting the PTO is quick and the differential compensates for left-right wheel speed, shortening the turning radius and improving the handling.
The Titan 300 also features a 300cc, water-cooled, four-valve engine, all-wheel independent suspension and separate disc brakes.

Production of the Titan 300 is scheduled for February 2008 and will be in dealerships in the first quarter of next year.

Adly Moto, a Taiwanese OEM, has been manufacturing motorcycles, scooters and ATVs for 30 years, but Nesbitt says the company’s ATVs have been available in the United States only for the past two years.
