Mitch Guthrie King of the Hammers

The King of the Hammers might just be the most challenging single-day off-road race in the world. An assortment of some of the most insane four wheelers in the world take to the deserts of Southern California every year to try and tame the Hammers.

Mitch Guthrie was the fastest UTV, finishing the 80-mile course of fast-paced desert riding and ridiculous rock-crawling with a time of 2:20.46.

“Congrats to Mitch Guthrie and his Ranger RZR XP 900 for winning the Overall, at the King of the Hammers race, in Johnson Valley, Calif.,” Polaris says in a release. “Guthrie ran a strategic race in his stock RZR XP through the dust, whoops and rocks and bested 38 other side-by-sides. The win is Guthrie’s third KOH win in a Polaris!”

Todd Stephenson King of the Hammers

Second place went to Todd Stephenson in his Arctic Cat Wildcat 1000 less than three minutes behind Guthrie. Jarred Newmann rode his RZR XP 900 to a third place finish about 22 minutes later.
