Unadilla GNCC takes place September 19

After a three-month break, the 2015 AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country Series is set to return on Sept. 19 at Unadilla Raceway in New Berlin, NY for the 10th annual Unadilla GNCC.

The Unadilla venue features challenging terrain, massive tree roots and more. The rest of the eight-mile racecourse consists of portions of the famous Unadilla motocross track, which means wide, sweeping corners and steep elevation changes. This circuit is especially unique in that the Unadilla venue boasts two motocross tracks, meaning racers will experience the challenges of both tracks each lap.

Over 2,000 racers are expected to compete at the Unadilla GNCC, and the event will draw several thousand spectators from the surrounding states, as well as all over the U.S.

In the XC1 Pro ATV class, Adam McGill (Honda) holds a slim nine-point lead over Walker Fowler (Yamaha). Both riders are looking for their first XC1 championship.

Yamaha’s Cole Richardson is running away with the XC2 Pro-Am title, thanks to eight wins in the first nine races.

In the 4×4 Pro class, Can-Am pilot Bryan Buckhannon is currently 23 points clear of Polaris pilots Kevin Trantham and Michael Swift.

Kyle Chaney (Can-Am) leads the XC1 Pro UTV class by 24 points, though UTV racing does not resume until the Powerline Park GNCC on Oct. 17.
