Multi-passenger UTV to be unveiled February 15

The Can-Am Maverick X3 family is growing – both in number and physical size.

BRP has announced that the multi-passenger Maverick X3 MAX will be unveiled on February, 15 at 9:30 pm et/6:30pm pt.

I wish we could say we have more details, but BRP is staying tight lipped on its newest addition. However, we’ve got an education guess on what you can expect.

Power should come from the 900cc, Rotax, three-cylinder, turbocharged engine that produces a claimed 154 horsepower in the two-seat Maverick X3. It would be surprising if any of those numbers changed for the X3.

Suspension on the flagship Maverick X3 X rs controls 22 inches of travel up front and 24 inches in the rear. Shocks are FOX 2.5 Podium RC2 in the front and FOX 3.0 Podium RC2 in the rear of that same machine. It is possible BRP will go with the 3.0 shocks on all four corners to help control what will undoubtedly be a heavier machine.

Beyond that, we’d expect a wheelbase in the range of 132 inches –30 inches longer than the current Maverick X3. That would be slightly more than a foot longer than the outgoing Maverick MAX Turbo.

Of course, this is all rampant speculation. Fortunately, we will find out for sure in about two weeks.
