Three Polaris vehicles and Pitster Pro FXR powered by HMF

HMF has been busy lately, releasing exhaust systems for two ATVs and two UTVs in recent weeks. Three Polaris machines – Sportsman 550 X2, RZR Ranger 170, Ranger 800 XP – and the Pitster Pro FXR can now be outfitted with an HMF system to for a boost in horsepower and torque.

Polaris Sportsman 550 X2

The 2010 Polaris Sportsman 550 EFI X2 is a two-up utility machine that features a powerful 550 SOHC Twin EFI, 4 valves per cylinder engine, pumping out 42 HP. HMF brought the Sportsman 550 into its shop and started R&D on it. The result is a Swamp and Swamp XL exhaust that HMF claims not only increases horsepower, but broadens the torque immensely.

About the Swamp Series: The HMF Swamp Series was designed specifically for quads that need pure, all out horsepower. Through the deep, muddy waters to the starting line of the GNCC, the Swamp Series blisters power that gives you absolute control. It features a five-inch stainless steel exhaust and produces very little sound dB over stock. And with the optional HMF Quiet Core, most machines can see a dB decrease over stock. (MSRP $399.95)

About the Swamp XL Series: The cousin of the Swamp Series, the Swamp XL Series delivers the same power as the Swamp Series but with an unrestricted sound level. If you want to be heard tearing up the track or busting through the woods, the XL is the pipe you’re looking for. Also in a five-inch stainless steel can, this beast will give you all the power and noise you can handle. (MSRP $369.95)

Polaris Ranger 800 XP

The Polaris Ranger 800 XP is primarily intended for recreational use and for 2010 year Polaris powered it up with 15 percent more horsepower and a top speed of 53 mph. According to HMF, with the Swamp Series installed the Ranger picked up huge horsepower gains and kept the sound levels 1dB over the stock pipe. This pipe also fits Polaris Ranger: 800 EFI 4×4, 800 EFI 6×6, EFI 4×4 Crew, and 500 EFI 4×4. (MSRP $369.95)

Polaris Ranger RZR 170

The 2010 Ranger RZR 170 is the world’s first Youth side-by-side vehicle. It’s styled after the adult Ranger RZR and has a parent-adjustable speed limiter plus many other safety features. It comes with two youth helmets. Key features are a 169cc 4-Stroke Engine, Automatic PTV Transmission With Reverse, and Bucket Seats With 3-Point Seat Belts. HMF developed a Performance Series exhaust for the Polaris RZR 170 because it picked up enough horsepower and torque for this mini UTV and gave it a unique sound.

About the HMF Performance Series: The HMF Performance Series is specifically designed for sport machines and purports to deliver the most horsepower and torque per dollar of any series. It was specifically designed to deliver maximum power gains throughout the RPM range. If you need to run quiet from time to time, the Performance Series accepts the optional HMF Quiet Core. (MSRP $259.95)

Pitster Pro FXR 125/150

Pitster Pro makes some of the most fun and innovative mini bikes in the industry. The 2010 FXR 150R mini ATV features a Z 150cc four stroke engine and piggy-back res. shocks w/adjustable compression and rebound. HMF decided to develop an exhaust in its Performance series. With this four-inch exhaust, HMF says it was able to increase the horsepower and torque while giving the bike a completely unique sound.

More info about the HMF Performance Series: Setting the standard for power and value, the HMF Performance Series has been tested for over a decade with endless championships. The specially designed, unrestricted core allows the exhaust to increase power evenly throughout the entire power curve. The Performance Series has the signature HMF sound with industry-leading end cap and color options, giving you a completely custom look and sound. (MSRP $349.95)
