STI Launches New Tech 4 Tire Line
STI Tire & Wheel has unveiled its new Tech 4 line of sport quad tires. According to STI, the Tech 4 brings high performance to the market at a surprisingly affordable price.
The Tech 4 debuts with two models specifically designed for either motocross or cross-country application. The Tech 4 MX is a track-oriented four 4-ply tire available in two sizes: 20×6-10 front and 18×10-8 rear. The Tech 4 XC provides an extra level of trail durability with a 6-ply rating and comes in taller 21×7-10 front and 20×11-9 rear sizes.
Both models use a high-tech rubber compound that STI says delivers exceptional hook-up on hardpack surfaces, in a unique tread pattern that pulls strongly through soft loam. Lightweight construction reduces unsprung weight and rotational mass for what STI calls unmatched acceleration and ride. The Tech 4’s carcass is designed to reduce bounce and enhance high-speed control and cornering confidence.
