Honda has announced updates for the Pioneer UTVs and ForeTrax ATVs for the 2023 and 2024 model years. Most of these changes are relatively minor, involving color changes and modest price increases.

2023 Pioneer 500

Honda’s entry-level Pioneer UTV gets two new colors for 2023, Avenger Red and Black Forest Green, depending on your mood. Its small size and 50-inch width are advantages on narrow trails, plus it can fit into a standard pickup truck bed. The Pioneer 500 continues to offer a rear rack that can carry 450 pounds of cargo, as well as a 1,000-pound towing capacity. Its starting price is $8,999 and will be available this month.

2023 Pioneer 520

Moving up to the Pioneer 520 gives you more amenities without giving up any utility. The bed can tilt and dump your cargo for easier unloading. A wide range of available Honda Pro-Connect accessories offer additional cargo solutions for both work and play. The Pioneer 520 offers four new colors for 2023: the same Avenger Red and Black Forest Green as the Pioneer 500, plus Sandstone Beige and Krypton Green, exclusive to the 520. Pricing starts at $9,999, and it will also hit your dealer’s floor this month.

2024 ForeTrax Rancher

Moving onto ATVs, the ForeTrax Rancher continues to be a popular entry-level choice. It is available in a wide variety of configurations, with combinations including four-wheel-drive, a dual-clutch transmission, an independent rear suspension, electric power steering, and electronic shifting on manual transmission models. Eight different configurations are available, enabling you to set up your Rancher any way you want.

The 2024 Rancher models will begin showing up at dealers in March, with all of them available starting in May.

2024 ForeTrax Foreman 4x4

All Foreman models include four-wheel-drive and an independent rear suspension as standard equipment, maintaining sporty handling and a smooth, composed ride on trails. The Foreman’s strong engine delivers quick acceleration and an 848-pound towing capacity.

Three versions will be available.

  • FourTrax Foreman 4x4 ES EPS: $8,899
  • FourTrax Foreman 4x4 EPS: $8,699
  • FourTrax Foreman 4x4: $7,899

The base model and EPS ES will be available in March, with the EPS coming out in April. Colors include Avenger Red, Black Forest Green, Sandstone Beige, and Krypton Green, with availability depending on which trim level you choose.

2024 ForeTrax Foreman Rubicon

The Rubicon version of the ForeTrax Foreman adds more features and capabilities, including aluminum wheels and painted bodywork. The most notable addition is an available dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT) to take the guesswork out of gear selection. Electronic power steering is an option as well, and a top-of-the-line Deluxe package adds color-matched suspension and other premium features.

  • FourTrax Foreman Rubicon 4x4 DCT EPS Deluxe: $10,599
  • FourTrax Foreman Rubicon 4x4 DCT EPS: $10,099
  • FourTrax Foreman Rubicon 4x4 EPS: $9,899 ($9,399 Black Forest Green)

All of these will be available in June, except for the EPS which will be available in March. Colors include Matte Gray Metallic, Matte Navy Blue, Honda Phantom Camo, and Black Forest Green, with availability depending on the trim level.
