Fully TIG welded chassis designed to withstand more abuse

Lonestar Racing of Mesa, Ariz. has introduced a beefed up chassis for the popular Yamaha Raptor 250.

According to Lonestar Racing, many riders are pushing the lightweight Raptor 250 beyond its natural limits.

“Unfortunately with any factory quad getting this type of use, it is bound to fail,” Lonestar Racing says in a release. “Lone Star Racing has come to the rescue with a solution that provides an affordable chassis that will hold up to the abuse of the toughest riders and racing conditions.”

Lonestar’s chassis is made of fully TIG welded 4130 chromoly steel. It features two extra motor mounts on the bottom of the motor, stronger accessory tabs, pivot plates, shock mounts, as well as a removable sub frame. The tubing thickness was also increased in the critical stress areas to prevent the frame from twisting or cracking.

The Lonestar Racing Raptor 250 chassis is designed to hold up to the toughest conditions.

With a suggested retail price of $1,400, the Lonestar chassis weighs about five pounds more than the stock chassis, but it is designed to provide an abundance of strength. The chassis is available in a choice of powder coat colors.
