2017 Honda Recon
Honda‘s most affordable Utility ATV, the FourTrax Recon, is back and unchanged for the 2017 model year.
At the heart of the Honda Recon is a 229cc, single-cylinder, four-stroke, carbureted engine. The Recon benefits from push-button electric start, though a backup auxiliary recoil starting system is available should you need it.
Honda offers up two Recon models for 2017. The base model is outfitted with a manual-shift transmission, the Recon ES offers up Electric Shift Program (ESP) technology. ESP allows the rider to upshift and downshift with the push of handlebar-mounted up/down buttons.
Controlling the ride is a double-wishbone front suspension (5.1 inches of travel) and swingarm rear suspension with a single shock (4.9 inches of travel). A total of 6.0 inches of ground clearance is available. Stopping power comes courtesy of dual sealed hydraulic drum brakes and a single sealed hydraulic drum brake in the rear.
The 2017 Honda Recon is available in Red or Green and retails for $4,049. You’ll find it in Honda dealerships starting in July.
