R1 Powered Yamaha Raptor + Video

We really think Yamaha should put this into production

If we’re honest, some of the “hybrid” ATVs we’ve come across leave a lot to be desired. We love the creativity of cramming a Hayabusa engine into a 450R chassis, but when the finished product looks like the only tools used were a hacksaw and a cutting torch, we have a hard time considering that project a success. This, on the other hand, is an example of an incredibly clean R1 conversion. This guy managed to put a Yamaha R1 street bike engine into a Yamaha Raptor chassis and retain all the original plastics to make it appear relatively stock. At least until he fires it up.
