Yamaha to be presenting sponsor of Lucas Oil Regional Off Road Series for three years

Yamaha Racing has teamed up with the Lucas Oil Regional Off Road Series (LORORS), Arizona for a three-year commitment as the Official Presenting Sponsor beginning in 2016. A returning sponsor to the series, Yamaha is increasing its support to coincide with the arrival of the new YXZ1000R Side-by-Side.

2016 Yamaha YXZ1000R Review LORORS Arizona presented by Yamaha Racing features six weekends of short course off-road racing during the 2016 Season with 10 total rounds including the Annual Regional Shootout. The series features approximately 12 classes of vehicles, including the growing classes of UTVs, which is where the YXZ1000R will compete.

“Our Series has moved forward with great strides in such a short period. It is our vision to keep up with the leading motorsports companies that provide the best machines to race, and by partnering with Yamaha we are able to do just that,” says Tim Jones, president of the Lucas Oil Regional Off Road Series. “Our Series has quickly expanded its participation in the UTV racing classes, and in order to facilitate the continued growth, we are extremely excited to include such a reputable and innovative company as Yamaha.”

“Yamaha has a long and storied history when it comes to racing, and we’re excited to begin a new chapter through our support of LORORS Arizona and the SxS race community,” says Steve Nessl, ATV/SxS marketing manager for Yamaha. “It should come as no surprise the only pure sport SxS in the industry would find a home in a short course racing environment, and we look forward to seeing the YXZ1000R compete.”
