Now that the end of the year is upon us, we thought it would be fun to look back and see what the ATV.com readers were looking at in 2017 so we put together this list of the 10 most popular articles of 2017 on ATV.com.

It was way back in 2014 that we published this article about what to look for when buying a used ATV or UTV. Apparently it’s still a relevant topic, as it was the 10th most popular article on ATV.com in 2017.

9 – Textron Off Road Replacing Arctic Cat Name

The sale of Arctic Cat last winter took a lot of people buy surprise (us included). Interestingly, this article about the Arctic Cat name being replaced on the ATV and UTV lineup in favor of Textron Off Road got lots of attention and it finished the year as the eighth most popular article on ATV.com.

8 – How to Deal With an ATV or UTV Accident

Nobody likes to think about getting in an ATV or UTV accident, but it’s smart to have a plan of action in case something does go wrong when you are out riding. This article, originally published in August of 2016, offers some insight of what you should do when things go wrong and it was the eighth most popular article on ATV.com in 2017.

7 – Un-Crating the New Maverick X3 X RC Turbo Rock Crawler

This article has only been live for two months, yet the appeal of watching the new Can-Am Maverick X3 X RC Turbo Rock Crawler get unboxed and assembled was immediately apparent. The video itself has more than 300,000 views on YouTube and a good number of those came from this story, making it the seventh most popular article on ATV.com in 2017.

6 – When the Most Interesting Man in the World Drives a Maverick X3

On the surface, there’s really not much to see here – except for a guy driving up a waterfall in a Maverick X3 – in reverse! Our post was shared more than 1,700 times on Facebook, helping make it the sixth most popular article on ATV.com in 2017.

5 – Which ATV Manufacturer is the Most Reliable?

Now this was a post we figured was going to stir the pot a bit and we were not disappointed. There are a lot of brand-loyal ATV owners out there and they came out in force to not only vote in our poll about the most reliable ATV manufacturer (more than 14,000 votes), but also to come back again and again to see how their favorite brand was doing. The end result is the fifth most popular article on ATV.com in 2017.

4 – Travis Pastrana’s Crazy Kawasaki Teryx Jump

Put Travis Pastrana’s name on something and the off-road world pays attention. This video shows Pastrana come screaming into view with the pedal mashed on a Kawasaki Teryx before going airborne for a massive jump. This post was shared more than 7,000 times on Facebook, helping it finish as the fourth most popular article on ATV.com in 2017.

3 – Watch This RZR Smoke a Mustang GT500

This article showcases a simple drag race where a souped up Polaris RZR took on a Mustang GT500 in a drag race. The RZR smoked it off the line and ended up finishing the quarter mile in 12.2 seconds with a top speed of 98 mph. This post was shared more than 5,000 times on Facebook and earned its spot as the third most popular article on ATV.com in 2017.

2 – ATC 250R Two Wheel Missile Kit Conversion

There’s something about two-stroke ATVs that ATV.com readers always eat up, but this may be our most popular ever. This article, which was published in December of 2016, features a video of a classic Honda ATC 250R converted to a two-wheel, fat-tire dirt bike. This post was shared 45,000 times on Facebook and was the second most popular article on ATV.com in 2017.

1 – Top Five ATVs We Wish Were Still Produced

ATV riders love some nostalgia and this article, published in June of 2017, was loaded with it. We looked back at some of our all-time favorite ATVs and our readers were eager to join us. This post garnered more than 15,000 shares on Facebook and ran away with the title as the most popular article on ATV.com in 2017 by a comfortable margin.
