Team finishes second in UTV race
National Guard Polaris Yokley Racing ATV Team rider Jarrod McClure finished 137th overall and 14th in the XC1 Pro ATV class today after crashing out in Round 12 of the 2010 GNCC Series. There were 156 total entries with 14 XC1 Pro Riders. National Guard Polaris DragonFire Yokley Racing Team driver William Yokley finished second overall and second in the UTV class. There were 52 total entries with 25 Open Modified teams.
The National Guard ATV and UTV Team riders participated in this second to last GNCC event of the year. ATV rider Jarrod McClure had a difficult day after having a spectacular crash at the mud hole section of the course. Jarrod had a good start finishing lap one in eighth place. On lap two, Jarrod worked up to sixth place, and was closing in on fifth. He carried too much speed into the mud hole section, and cartwheeled end over end. He was unable to continue because of damage to his machine, and some injuries. Fortunately, Jarrod should be good to go for the season finale in two weeks.
National Guard Polaris Dragonfire UTV racer William Yokley had a better day in the UTV race. Yokley got a good start and was third on lap 1. He worked into second place on lap 2, and remained there until the finish. Congratulations to Scott Kiger for the win. William’s guest passenger was his wife Tina. William is leading in season points going into the last race of the year in Crawfordsville Indiana in 2 weeks.
The Ironman in Crawfordsville always draws a huge crowd of participants and spectators, so it should be a lot of fun. See you there!
