Jackson Motorsports Group (JMG) unveiled the new BFGoodrich Baja T/A KR2 UTV tire at the 47th Annual Bud Light SCORE Baja 500 in Baja California, Mexico.
This is the first UTV-specific tire produced by BFGoodrich, which is engineered with CoreGard technology. According to BFGoodrich, the tire offers superior performance and increased mobility in soft soils, enhanced traction in mud and improved braking in loose and rocky soil.

STI has expanded its Outback tire lineup with more choices for ATV and UTV owners. The new Outback XLT tires add four new sizes, including 30/9-14, 30/11-14, 30/9-17 and 30/11-17. The taller tire profile, offered to fit 14- and 17-inch wheels, is designed for today’s big-bore UTVs.

Pro Armor, in cooperation with the Consumer Product Safety Commission, has issued a recall notice for its doors that fit 2010-2014 Polaris RZR 800 and 900 models.
According to the recall notice, the latch pin can disengage from the latch and allow the door to open while the vehicle is moving, posing a risk of ejection of an unrestrained rider and impact or laceration hazards.
PRP Seats has announced the addition of five-time King of the Hammers (KOH) UTV champion Mitch Guthrie Sr. to its race team.

Polaris has beefed up its ATV and UTV accessories division with the purchase of LSI Products Inc. and Armor Holdings, LLC (Pro Armor). These companies design, develop, manufacture, source, sell and distribute accessories for performance Side-by-Side vehicles and ATV markets under the Pro Armor brand. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
STI has expanded its Outback tire line with four new wider sizes: 26/10-12, 26/12-12, 27/10-12 and 27/12-12.
The Outback is STI’s all-around ATV and UTV tire and the new wider profile is designed to increase flotation and traction in loose conditions while retaining a smooth ride on hard-pack surfaces. As well, the new Outback models feature unique lugs that are stepped on the outside and dimpled in the middle. According to STI, this design provides aggressive grip and efficient clean-out capability, while maintaining ride comfort.
TrakMotive has been the largest producer of automotive aftermarket CV axles for years, but only recently jumped into the ATV and UTV market. We had a chance to chat with TrakMotive at AIMExpo in Orlando, Fla. about its off-road products.
TrakMotive (also known as SurTrack) told us its ATV and UTV CV axles are engineered to hold up to the most rigorous conditions.
For some riders, the sound of the ATV or UTV engine is not quite enough. The folks at BOSS Audio Systems may have what they’re looking for.
When we stopped by the BOSS booth at AIMExpo in Orlando, Fla., a Kawasaki Brute Force decked out with front and rear marine-grade speakers that certainly caught our attention. These speakers were attached to the front and rear racks, but BOSS Audio Systems also makes speakers that can attach to UTV roll over protection structures.
OTR Wheel Engineering talked to us about the new OTR Tomahawk mud tire when we stopped by its booth at AIMExpo in Orlando, Fla.
The OTR Tomahawk has a fairly striking design, thanks to its unique looking tread and tire texture. We were told this tire was designed for exceptional mud traction and a set of four adorned an Arctic Cat MudPro ATV to drive the point home. The tire offers six-ply construction and OTR Wheel Engineering says that it is a smooth trail rider as well, despite its mud-focussed intentions.
One of the great things about walking the floor at a show like AIMExpo in Orlando, Fla. is checking out innovative products that could help a lot of people. The Shark Kage multi-use ramp falls into that category.
When we first walked by the Shark Kage booth, we didn’t think much of it. It just looked like an ordinary ramp for a pickup truck. However, what we saw next stopped us in our tracks. The ramp was quickly folded up into a bed extender…then a work table. After talking to one of the Shark Kage representatives, we were told it could also turn into a tool box and cargo cover for your truck, as well as a sun shade.

PRP Seats has released what it is calling the first front bench for the Polaris RZR XP 1000.
The GT 50/50 Front Bench features independently removable sides, which is designed to make it easy to access the battery or change the oil. Large harness openings and a quick release pull make removing each seat quick.
GBC Motorsports is all set to launch several new tire sizes at AIMExpo, scheduled for October 16-19 in Orlando. GBC is expanding its popular Dirt Commander line with new larger sizes.
“We are very excited to launch our expanded tire lines at AIMExpo,” says GBC Motorsports Director Randy Tsai. “We are always working to expand our offerings and remain at the forefront of the ATV and SXS markets. This show is the perfect venue to showcase our new products not only to dealers and media, but also directly to consumers.”
Curtis Industries has announced the release of its new heavy-duty utility vehicle plow. The plow ships fully assembled to dealers to reduce installation time and cost.
This plow is powder coated for corrosion resistance and painted in a polished silver-gray finish. It features a 72″ wide x 19″ high adjustable full-trip moldboard with 6″ double-sided cutting edge. It’s designed with a 48″ trip frame and heavy-duty springs to protect the plow and vehicle from ground obstructions.
PRP Seats has just released new aluminum door extensions for Polaris RZR S 900 and RZR XP 1000 vehicles.
Installation, according to PRP Seats, is easy with just a few bolts to add to existing holes in the stock doors. Price is set at $239 for two doors and $449 for four-door models.
Anybody who’s ridden Side-by-Sides long enough, hard enough and over rough enough terrain has longed for a more comfortable place for their posterior. Pro Armor may have the answer with its new suspension seats.

HMF is now offering its Swamp slip-on exhaust for the Yamaha Viking, offering a bit more performance from Yamaha’s Utility Side-by-Side.

In addition to any performance boost, HMF says the Swamp slip-on ($399.95) sheds two to three pounds compared to the stock system. Sound levels are claimed to be just one or to decibels higher than the stock unit with a deeper tone.
